Left click the Process Closer icon in the system tray to bring up a Drag & Kill or a Drag & Close window. Right click the window, hold your finger pressed on the right click button, then drag the window onto the process you want to close. That is, in a nutshell, how you can end or kill processes with the free application Process Closer.

Process Closer is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8. A very simple setup wizard will help you install Drag & Kill on a PC powered by Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8. In very, very little time you will have Process Closer up and running on your PC.

While Drag & Kill is running, a blue icon is displayed in the system tray. When you left click this icon, the Drag & Kill or the Drag & Close window shows up (you can also bring up this window by using the Ctrl + Shift + C hotkey). Just right click the window and drag it on top of the process you want to end.

When you right click the system tray icon, you are presented with a context menu that features the following options:
Settings – process kill, process close, process kill and child processes, detect non responding processes, launch at startup, enable the hotkey that brings up the Drag & Kill or the Drag & Close window (I remind you that said hotkey is Ctrl + Shift + C).
Help – detailed instructions on how to bring up the Drag & Kill or the Drag & Close window and how to use it to end processes.
About – tells you that Process Closer is free for personal and commercial use and that this free software comes without any kind of warranty.

The great thing about Process Closer is that it makes it incredibly easy to end processes. Go get this free tool and see for yourself!

Pros

Little time and a minimal amount of effort will go into getting Process Closer up and running on a Windows PC. There’s a detailed Help file that explains how to use Process Closer. Process Closer can kill or close processes and it can detect unresponsive processes. You can bring up the Drag & Kill or the Drag & Close window with a hotkey.

Cons

None that I could think of.
